Police in Kisauni, Mombasa County, have arrested a 67 year old man in connection with a defilement incident involving a minor in Mwakirunge area.
According to a report made at Kiembeni Police Station yesterday,gender officers acted on information and proceeded to Mwakirunge Village on Friday evening where they apprehended the suspect identified as Katama Dzombo.
The arrest followed allegations that the suspect had engaged in unlawful sexual activity with a minor identified as R.B aged 13 years old.
Police visited the scene and carried out necessary procedures, including documentation to support prosecution.
The suspect is currently in custody at Kiembeni Police Station and is expected to be arraigned before the Shanzu Law Courts today.
