A church pastor from Mauche in Nakuru county is nursing serious injuries after he was allegedly found in a compromising situation with a married woman and subsequently attacked by an angry mob in Kuresoi North,Nakuru County.
According to a report filed at Sirikwa Police Station, the incident occurred shortly after midnight on June 17, 2026, at Kacharage Village.
The complainant, Shadrack Langat, a security guard at Molo Greens Flower Farm, told police that he had left his workplace after feeling unwell and returned home unexpectedly.
Upon arrival he found the front door of his house slightly open.
Langat reported that when he entered the house, he found his wife, Linet Langat, in bed with Hillary Kosgei, a pastor attached to Deliverance Church in Mauche.
Police said Langat’s screams attracted members of the public who responded to the scene and cornered the pastor before subjecting him to mob justice.
Officers who were on duty at Molo Greens Flower Farm were alerted and rushed to the scene, where they managed to rescue the pastor from the irate crowd.
The victim sustained serious injuries to the head, back and feet and was rushed to Molo Level V Hospital for treatment.
Police have launched investigations into the incident, with officers from Sirikwa Police Station handling the case.
