Wiper Patriot Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Thursday joined young innovators at Nairobi’s Leakey’s Auditorium for the launch of the Viongozy mobile application, a digital platform designed to transform how Kenyans engage with leaders seeking elective positions in the 2027 General Election.
The app aims to create a direct link between registered youth voters and candidates contesting seats from Member of County Assembly (MCA) to the Presidency, enabling citizens to raise issues affecting their communities, question aspirants on their policies and hold them accountable through meaningful digital engagement.

According to the developers, Viongozy seeks to eliminate guesswork in politics by giving aspirants real-time feedback on the priorities and concerns of voters while providing young people with a platform to influence leadership discussions before they cast their ballots.
During the launch, Kalonzo was taken through the app’s features by Viongozy Founder Kamau Mbiu, Chief Operating Officer Sydney Rukwaro and Chief Executive Officer Felix Nyabuto.
The team said the platform is intended to amplify the voices of ordinary Kenyans by ensuring that “sauti ya ground” is heard online, fostering transparent dialogue between voters and political leaders.
The innovators expressed optimism that the application will encourage issue-based politics and empower young voters to play a more active role in shaping Kenya’s democratic future ahead of the 2027 elections.
