A 33 year old man is in police custody after he was caught engaging in unnatural act with a cow in Kisii County.
The incident triggered a mob attack that left him injured.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 3:50 a.m. on Saturday in Nyakome Village, Metembe Location, Marani Sub-County.
The suspect, identified as Dominic Onyiego Nyarunda, alias Bobby, was found inside a cowshed at the home of Jerushah Kwamboka Ogembo engaging in the act with her cow.
The incident reportedly enraged residents, who descended on the suspect and assaulted him before community policing members intervened and rescued him.
He sustained multiple injuries, including bleeding from his right ear.
Police officers from Kegogi Police Station responded to the scene and rushed the suspect to Kegogi Level 3 Hospital, where he received first aid before being referred to Marani Sub-County Hospital.
He was treated and later discharged.
The suspect was subsequently escorted to Kegogi Police Station, where he remains in custody pending his arraignment in court on Monday.
Police also took custody of the cow, which is awaiting examination by a veterinary officer as part of the ongoing investigations.
