MP Wamacukuru meeting disrupted,PA robbed Sh150 000

Tension erupted at the Kabete Constituency CDF) office in Wangige, Kiambu County, after a group of suspected goons stormed the premises and disrupted a meeting hosted by Kabete Member of Parliament Githua Wamacukuru.

The incident was reported to officers at Kingeero police station by David Muturi Mwangi, a personal assistant to the area MP.

The report indicates that the MP had been holding a meeting with a group of mechanics at the CDF office hall in Wangige on Sunday afternoon.

However, at around 2.00pm, a group of young men believed to have originated from Gikuni, Gecha, and Wangige allegedly stormed the area, forcing their way into the CDF offices and causing chaos.

During the melee, the suspects reportedly damaged office property, including an office desk and several plastic chairs.

The MP’s personal assistant sustained injuries to his left hand and allegedly lost Sh150,000 in cash amid the commotion.

Police officers who were present at the scene managed to restore order and contain the situation before further destruction occurred.

The matter is currently under police investigation, with police treating the case as creating disturbance and malicious damage to property.
