Police in Kilimani are investigating the deaths of two foreign nationals who were found with suspected gunshot wounds inside an apartment along Chania Avenue, Nairobi.
The bodies of a Vietnamese woman and a Chinese man were discovered at approximately 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Meteor Garden Apartments after the apartment manager reported hearing gunshots from House A506, which was locked from the inside.
According to preliminary police information, officers led by the Kilimani Sub-County Police Commander and the Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer responded to the incident.
The apartment was subsequently opened using a spare key provided by management.
The two deceased were found seated side by side on a mattress in the sitting room, each with a suspected gunshot wound to the head.
Police recovered a BUL pistol, a magazine containing 13 rounds of ammunition, two spent cartridges, and a handwritten note suspected to be a suicide note.
Crime Scene Investigation officers processed the scene before the bodies were transferred to Chiromo Funeral Parlour, where they await postmortem examinations.
Investigators are working to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths, including the possible motive, the ownership of the recovered firearm, and whether the incident involved a suicide pact.
Police have not yet established the definitive circumstances of the deaths, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The case remains under investigation as detectives seek to piece together the events that led to the deaths of the two foreign nationals.
