DNK International A National Intelligence Service (NIS) officer from Matakiri, Tharaka Nithi County, currently attached to duties in Nairobi, was involved in a road accident at Gatunga Bridge on Thanantu River along the Mukothima–Gatunga Road after his vehicle allegedly developed a lighting problem yesterday at around 9:00 p.m.
The officer was reportedly off duty at the time and sustained minor injuries.
He received assistance from members of the public and was rushed to hospital shortly after the incident.
