Police Officer attached to Wundanyi MP Danson Mwashako has been found dead in suspected suicide shooting in Kasarani.
According to Police at Kasarani police station the officer was found dead from a gunshot wound inside his rented house in the Sports View Drive area of Kasarani.

The officers in their report indicated that members of the public informed them that at 2:50 p.m.they heard a loud bang from a residential building located adjacent to Mount Olive School.
Responding officers, including the Station Police Officer, duty officer,detectives from the DCI and Scene of Crime personnel, proceeded to the scene and established that the occupant of House B14 had been found lying in a pool of blood inside his bedsitter.

Investigators discovered that the house had been locked from the inside using the lower lock, forcing responders to break the door to gain entry.
Inside, they found a male adult seated and leaning against a wall with a gunshot wound.
The deceased was found holding a Jericho pistol in his right hand.
The firearm’s magazine contained 14 rounds of ammunition.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the officer sustained a gunshot wound through the mouth, with the bullet exiting through the back of the head.
A spent cartridge was recovered at the scene.
A search of the house led to the recovery of a Certificate of Appointment bearing the details of Police Constable David Sigfrid Ng’ang’a of the Diplomatic Police Unit, who was reportedly attached to the MP.
Crime Scene Investigators documented the scene before the body was moved to Kenyatta University Mortuary pending a post-mortem examination.
The motive behind the incident remains under investigation by DCI officers based at Kasarani Police Station.
