Police destroy 840 litres of Illicit brew in Kisii

Police in Kisii South have intensified operations against illicit brews and narcotic drugs by destroying a total of 840 litres of kangara in a coordinated crackdown.

According to a report from Gesonso Police Station, the operation was conducted yesterday evening in Bogitaa Village, Riana Location.

Oficers raided the home of Moi Ogamba where 240 litres of kangara were destroyed.

In a separate but related operation in Nyakiogiro Village, Iyabe Location, police destroyed an additional 600 litres of the illicit brew at the home of Douglas Ondieki.

No arrests were made in both incidents as the suspects fled upon noticing the police.

Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing, with efforts underway to apprehend the culprits and curb the proliferation of illegal alcohol in the area.
