Rampage at Maasai Mara University Following Student’s Death

By Our Correspondent,Narok.Tension gripped the Narok–Bomet road today after a tragic accident claimed the life of a second year student from Maasai Mara University.

According to eyewitnesses, the student was knocked down and killed by a trailer in the morning hours, sparking outrage among fellow students and members of the public.

The incident quickly escalated into protests, with angry demonstrators barricading sections of the busy highway and disrupting transport along the route.

Witnesses report that the students lit bonfires on the road and demanded immediate action to address what they described as frequent accidents along the stretch.

Some motorists were stranded for hours as the situation intensified.

Police officers were deployed to the scene to contain the unrest and restore order.

By midday, efforts were underway to disperse the crowd and reopen the road, though tension remained high.
