Police in Gem Yala Sub-County are investigating a suspected suicide incident involving a 57-year-old school principal.
The deceased, identified as Charles Odero Oluoch, was found dead behind his home in Marenyo Sub-location on the morning of April 24, 2026. The discovery was made by a farm employee who alerted the family and reported the matter to Sinaga Police Post.
According to police, the principal had returned home the previous night and briefly spoke with his mother before retiring to his house. His body was later moved to Yala Level IV Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a postmortem examination.
No suicide note was recovered, and the motive remains unknown. Authorities have launched investigations into the incident.
