Some employees at Nairobi City County have raised concerns over a prolonged power outage at City Hall, claiming the facility has been without electricity since July 1.
The workers are calling on Governor Johnson Sakaja to intervene and ensure normal power supply is restored, arguing that the generator currently in use is inadequate to meet the building’s electricity needs.

The employees have also alleged that a number of county vehicles are operating without valid insurance cover, while others reportedly have policies nearing expiry, raising concerns over compliance and operational safety.
The county government has not yet issued an official response to the claims.
