Police in Kasarani, Nairobi, have impounded a Nicco Sacco public service vehicle (PSV), registration number KDV 713J, following a tragic incident in which a student reportedly died after being thrown from the moving bus and subsequently run over along Thika Road on today morning.
According to police, the vehicle was seized as investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.
Preliminary reports indicate that the student was allegedly ejected from the bus while it was in motion before being fatally run over.
Police officers are investigating the events leading to the incident, including the conduct of the vehicle crew and other factors that may have contributed to the fatality.
The body was removed from the scene as investigators continued gathering evidence and recording statements from witnesses.
