Police in Hagadera, Garissa County, have arrested two men suspected of being linked to the Al-Shabaab terror group after they were found carrying assorted items whose intended use had not been established.
The suspects, identified as Muhudin Mohamed Ahmed, 36, and Moulid Abdikadir Abdullahi Omar, 26, were arrested near Borehole 5 Police Post.
There arrest followed a tip-off from a member of the public who reported their suspicious behaviour.

They were reportedly carrying small bags containing several batteries, wires, a head lamp, knives, small mobile phones commonly known as Mlika Mwizi, two small solar panels and other items.
Police said the purpose of the items had not yet been established, and investigations were continuing.
The suspects, both residents of Hagadera Refugee Camp in Blocks K4 and K3 respectively, have been detained at Hagadera Police Station pending their handover to the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) in Dadaab for further interrogation.
