A multi agency security operation targeting criminal gangs in Kwanza,Trans-Nzoia county has early today led to the arrest of eleven suspects linked to the notorious “Mbogi Mfalme Maziwa” gang.
The operation, conducted at around 2:15 a.m., involved officers from the Kenya Police,DCI and APS with support from specialized teams from Nairobi.
The crackdown was carried out across Lessos, Bidii, and Kibomet areas, which have recently been under surveillance due to increased gang related activities.
According to police reports, the suspects will face charges including preparation to commit a felony and possession of illegal substances.
One of the suspects, Emily Machuma, was found in possession of 20 litres of chang’aa and 20 rolls of cannabis sativa (bhang).
Another suspect, Pius Wainaina, was found armed with two pangas.

Richard Barasa Wamalwa
Isack Siundu alias “DJ Wamukoya”
Junior Adego and
William Erot.
Police also recovered a red TVS motorcycle, registration number KMFX 904N, believed to have been used in criminal activities.
All suspects remain in custody and are scheduled to be arraigned in court on Monday.
The case is being handled jointly by Maili Saba Police Station and DCI Kwanza.
