The late prominent North Rift farmer and businessman Joseph Njuguna, who was killed on Sunday, will be laid to rest on Saturday at his farm in Endebess, Trans Nzoia County, with his grave facing Mount Kenya in accordance with his wishes and Kikuyu traditions.
The revelation was made on Monday by Chief Seer Munyori Kinyenje and Archbishop Paul Mwangi during a visit to the late farmer’s home, where preparations for his burial were underway.

The two said the decision to have Njuguna buried facing Mount Kenya was informed by his expressed wishes and cultural traditions observed by the Kikuyu community.
However, the burial preparations were marked by a notably low turnout of mourners at the deceased farmer’s home on Monday.
Njuguna’s death has left relatives, friends and members of the local community mourning as investigations into the circumstances surrounding his killing continue.
He is expected to be buried on Saturday at his Endebess farm.
