Businessman goes missing after leaving lodge for morning prayers in Wajir

A businessman from Ajawa in Wajir County has gone missing after leaving a lodge in Wajir town early Saturday morning for prayers.

According to a report made at Wajir Police on Sunday morning,Hussein Adan Abdi travelled to Wajir town on Friday where he spent the night at Blue Light Lodge.

Police said Hussein left his belongings, including his mobile phone, in his room before leaving for morning prayers at around 5am on Saturday, September 12. However, he did not return to the lodge.

His cousin, Abdisalan Mohamed, reported the matter to police, prompting investigations into Hussein’s whereabouts.

The case is being handled by detectives from DCI Wajir East, with police saying a progress report will be issued as investigations continue.
