Congolese music star Werrason (Ngiama Makanda) is mourning the death of his mother, Maman Albertine Mukala, who reportedly died in Kinshasa during the night of Friday and Saturday.
She was also referred to as Albertine Mukania, was also the mother of Gospel musician cum pastor Frere Patrice Ngoy Musoko.
Werrason is one of the most prominent figures in Congolese rumba, having built a successful musical career that has earned him a large following across Africa and beyond.
Musoko, on the other hand, is known for his contribution to gospel music and Christian ministry.
