The tragic incident occurred yesterday (Tuesday).

According to police reports, the incident was reported by Uyawi Assistant Chief Joshua Owuor, who said members of the public alerted him that a woman aged 63 years old  had been trapped inside the quarry.

Police officers rushed to the scene, where they found that the lifeless body of the deceased identified as Margret Achieng Ligondo had already been retrieved by local residents.
