BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY:1 John 3:8

It is incredibly easy to feel defeated by old habits, lingering guilt, or the brokenness we see around us. We often fight these battles as if the outcome is still undecided, exhausting ourselves trying to manage our own flaws. But this verse delivers a powerful, grounding truth: Jesus didn’t come just to manage the mess. He appeared to destroy it.

The word used for “destroy” means to unloose, dissolve, or undo. Whatever ties the enemy has tried to loop around your life—shame, addiction, fear, or division—Jesus came to completely untangle and dismantle. You are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from victory. The heavy lifting has already been done.

Stop treating a defeated enemy like he still holds the keys. Identify one specific area of shame, negative thinking, or an old habit that has been holding you back this week. Verbally declare Christ’s victory over it today, and take one practical step to replace that old pattern with truth.
