Because Elisha lived in tune with the Holy Spirit, he could see the hidden traps set by the enemy.
This should be the blueprint for our spiritual lives. Often, we feel like we are walking blindly through a minefield of stress, temptation, or difficult decisions. However, God is never caught off guard. He sees the “ambushes” of life long before they reach us.
Just as Elisha warned the king, God uses His Word and the quiet prompting of the Spirit to say, “Wait,” “Go,” or “Avoid this path.”Our safety lies in our sensitivity to His voice. When we stay close to the Source, we don’t have to fear the unknown.
