BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY:Jude 1:23

By Pastor Vincent Roy Agoya

“Save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.” — Jude 1:23

Jude paints a serious picture of spiritual rescue. Some people are not just gently guided—they are snatched from fire. This speaks of urgent intervention for those already close to destruction, caught in sinful patterns, deception, or spiritual danger.

Yet, in the same breath, believers are warned to handle mercy with discernment. We are to love the person but reject the “stained garment”—anything polluted by sin that defiles the soul. This shows God’s balance: compassion for the sinner, but hatred for sin’s corruption.

Not every situation is gentle counseling; some require urgent spiritual rescue, prayer warfare, and bold confrontation with darkness. Others require patient mercy and restoration.

God calls us to be both compassionate and alert—loving people deeply while refusing to be contaminated by what has enslaved them.

Ask God today for spiritual sensitivity—when to show mercy, when to intercede urgently, and when to act decisively in prayer to snatch souls from destruction. Amen.
