A business lady who was charged for obtaining Sh 25 million from a Nigerian Investor for an alleged transaction of the supply of long lasting Instecticide Nets has been acquitted by a Milimani Magistrate Court.
The accused Faith Mwikali Ndiwa, was discharged by the Trial Magistrate Carolyne Nyaguthi Mugo after she found and held that the prosecution did not tender sufficient evidence to enter a conviction.
The court said that having analysed the evidence given by the prosecution witnesses it was not established that she defrauded the said amount from the investor.
The accused was charged in the year 2024 and was released on a cash bail of Sh1 million with a surety of similar amount and she intelligently attended all the proceedings, the court said.
Speaking to journalists after the delivery of the judgment outside Milimani Law Courts she told journalists that she will be vying for the position of Women Representative for Nairobi County come 2027.
She intends to vie on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
