A fire broke out at Kisumu Bus Park on Sunday night, destroying 14 business stalls and causing losses of property worth an unknown value.
According to police, the incident was reported at about 9:48 p.m.
Officers from Kisumu Central Police Station rushed to the scene near the Kisumu Fish Market, where they found a stall engulfed in flames.
The fire rapidly spread to 13 neighbouring stalls, consuming merchandise and structures before emergency responders arrived.
Efforts by the Kisumu County Fire Brigade, assisted by members of the public, successfully contained and extinguished the blaze.
Police confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported during the incident.
Crime Scene Investigation officers from Kisumu Central processed and documented the scene as investigations commenced.
Police said the cause of the fire has not yet been established and remains under investigation.
