A man has been arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a 23 year old domestic worker in Sagana Township, Kirinyaga County.
According to a police report filed at Sagana Police Station, the incident occurred on Saturday.
The matter was reported by the victim who said that she had been asleep in her servant’s quarters within her employer’s residence when the incident occurred.
She alleged that the homeowner entered her room and raped her.
At the time of the incident, the suspect’s wife was reportedly not at home.
Police officers visited the scene shortly after the report was made and initiated investigations.
The suspect was subsequently arrested.
