A man aged 25 has been murdered in Endebess,TransNzoia county over a woman rivalry.
According to police records made yesterday night,the report was made by Michael Ngoret of Endebess Sub County Hospital, who informed officers that a young man had been rushed to the facility from Scheme Moto Village in Chepkoilel Location with a stab wound to the left side of the chest.
The victim, however, succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.
Police officers who visited the hospital established that the deceased, identified as Charles Kaitano had been at his neighbour’s compound in the company of the suspect, Ezekiel Cheptot, when a dispute arose between them over a woman.
During the altercation, the suspect allegedly armed himself with a kitchen knife and stabbed the deceased in the chest, inflicting a deep wound that caused severe bleeding.
The scene of the incident was processed and documented by investigators.
The body was later moved to Cherangany Nursing Home, where it is awaiting a postmortem examination.
The suspect fled immediately after the incident and remains at large.
Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the suspect.
