DNK International The Nairobi City County Assembly Select Committee on Delegated County Legislation has accused the Mobility and Public Works sector of unlawfully implementing proposed Transport Regulations before Assembly approval.
The committee said it discovered the move during a public participation forum at Charter Hall on May 29, 2026.
Chairperson Nasra Nanda vowed to stop any premature enforcement, insisting the regulations remain under review.
The committee also faulted Mobility CECM Ibrahim Nyangoya for allegedly ignoring Assembly summonses and claimed his actions are allegedly being shielded by the Governor’s office and Assembly leadership.
