An OCS attached to Murang’a Railways Police Station has been found dead at a Church compound under mysterious circumstances in Gem-Wagai,Siaya county
The incident has prompted police to launch an immediate investigations.
The deceased was identified as Inspector of Police John Otieno Aduol, 55, whose lifeless body was discovered within the compound of Last God’s Appeal Church at Rera Village on Monday night.
According to police reports, the incident was reported at Siala Kaduol Police Station by Onyinyore Sub-location Assistant Chief David Suji after information emerged that a body was lying near the church.
Police officers led by the OCS Siala Kaduol, accompanied by detectives from the Gem-Yala Sub-County Criminal Investigations Office (SCCIO), visited the scene and Upon arrival, officers found the body of the officer lying within the church compound with a fresh wound on the forehead, believed to have been inflicted by a sharp object.
Blood was reportedly oozing from the injury at the time of discovery.
The body was moved to Yala Sub-County Hospital Mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
Police have classified the case as a suspected murder and launched investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death and identify those responsible.
