DNK International Busia Governor Dr. Paul Otuoma has called for a crackdown on a group calling itself jobless youths in Busia town from today evening upon the conclusion of the ODM youth caucus to be presided over by party leader Oburu Oginga
According to information received by DNK-International, Governor Otuoma alleged that the group has been engaging in lawlessness within the border town and said security agencies should take action against those found responsible for criminal activities.
The governor’s remarks came after heightened political tension surrounding the youth meeting, which had earlier faced uncertainty amid opposition from a section of the group youths.
Local police have not issued an official statement outlining any planned security operation or responding to the governor’s remarks.
