Three people have been confirmed dead following a grisly road traffic accident at Mangina area along the Nairobi–Naivasha highway in Lari, Kiambu County early today.
Police at Lari Traffic Base,indicated that the fatal crash occurred a few minutes to 1.00 am and involved an ENA Coach bus, a lorry and a Toyota matatu belonging to Quick Shuttle.
Several passengers sustained injuries during the collision and were rushed to Orthodox Hospital and Kijabe Mission Hospital where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Traffic officers visited and processed the scene before restoring normal traffic flow along the busy highway.
Police have launched investigations into the cause of the accident.
