DNK International A police officer attached to Merisho Police Post has sustained serious injuries and lost six teeth after a motorcycle accident in Ngong.
According to a report recorded at Matasia Police Station, the accident occurred at around 10:00 a.m. and involved an unidentified motorcycle rider.
The injured officer, Police Constable Joseph Wanjohi was travelling as a pillion passenger while heading to Matasia Police Station when the rider reportedly hit a stone, causing him to fall from the motorcycle.
The officer sustained facial injuries and lost three teeth during the accident.
Witnesses reported that the rider, with the assistance of fellow motorcyclists, fled the scene immediately after the crash.
The injured officer was rushed to Matasia Nursing Home, where he received treatment.
Police have launched investigations into the incident and are pursuing the unidentified rider.
