A 20 year old shopkeeper has been arrested in Mtopanga, Kisauni Sub-county, Mombasa County, after allegedly giving false information to a public officer by claiming that his private parts had mysteriously shrunk following a handshake with suspected water vendors.
According to police, Rodgers Munene reported that at around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday while at his shop in Mtopanga, unknown individuals approached him claiming they were selling water.
After informing them that he had already purchased water, he shook hands with one of them before they left.
Munene later claimed that he began shivering and discovered that his private parts had shrunk.
Police officers responded to the report and rushed him to hospital for examination.
Medical personnel examined him and confirmed that his private parts were normal, contradicting his claims.
Police subsequently arrested Munene for allegedly giving false information to a public officer.
He was placed in custody at Kiembeni Police Station as investigations continue, with the case pending further police inquiries.
