The CMA warned members of the public against dealing with the listed entities or individuals presenting their activities as legitimate investment opportunities.
“The Authority strongly cautions the public against dealing with entities and persons disguising their fraudulent activities as investment opportunities,” the regulator said.
The warning comes amid growing concerns over unlicensed investment schemes and fraudulent financial operations targeting members of the public.
The CMA urged members of the public and anyone affected by the activities of the listed entities to cooperate with ongoing investigations by reporting the matter to their nearest DCI office.
The regulator further encouraged the public to verify the licensing and approval status of investment service providers before committing their money.
The CMA’s warning serves as a reminder to investors to conduct due diligence and confirm that any entity offering investment services is properly licensed by the relevant authorities.
