KASARANI:Kenya is hosting the 2nd Africa Police Taekwondo Championships at the Kasarani stadium,Nairobi.
The event brings together police taekwondo teams, officials, and delegates from across Africa.

The event was graced by Ms. Gati Wambura, representing the Principal Secretary in the State Department for Sports under the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports.

Also present were World Police Taekwondo Federation President Bang Seong Ho,Sports Kenya Director General Timothy Kilimo, Kenya Taekwondo Federation President Major Suleiman Sumba,KPS OC Sports Tom Okoth, Kenya Police Taekwondo Federation President Jared Ojuok, and Consul and Police Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Kenya Youngjae Kwon.

Ms. Gati Wambura said sports continue to boost Kenya’s economy through tourism, job creation, and international partnerships, while Ojuok praised the role of taekwondo in promoting discipline and cooperation among police services.
The championships will run until May 31.
