The family of retired President Daniel arap Moi has mourned the death of Dr David Silverstein, the long serving personal physician of the late former Head of State.

In a condolence message, former Baringo Senator Gideon Moi described Dr Silverstein as a compassionate physician who left a lasting impression on those he treated.

Gideon said Dr Silverstein regarded Mzee Moi not merely as a client but as a human being whose health, dignity and wellbeing mattered deeply to him.

“He took time to listen, understand and care, bringing warmth to his practice of medicine. This was the same humanity and compassion he extended to everyone under his care,” Gideon said.

On behalf of the Moi family, Gideon extended heartfelt condolences to Dr Silverstein’s family, led by his wife, Channa Commanday.

He expressed gratitude to the family for allowing Dr Silverstein to walk with Mzee Moi throughout his health journey, saying his care and friendship would always be remembered.
“May God grant him eternal rest and give his family the fortitude to bear this great loss,” Gideon said.
