Media fraternity is mourning the death of veteran journalist Moses Radoli, who died after sustaining injuries in a road accident.
Radoli was involved in an accident along the Nambale–Mumias road last week.
A pioneer in journalism in western Kenya region, Radoli served as the first Daily Nation correspondent in Busia during the 1980’s and 1990’s before joining the Standard Group, where he worked for several years.
He was renowned for his sharp reporting, deep understanding of border issues and commitment to journalism.
Beyond his reporting, Radoli played an important role in mentoring a generation of journalists in Busia and across Western Kenya.
His death is a major loss to the media fraternity in Busia and the country at large, with colleagues and former mentees remembering him as a dedicated journalist, mentor and trailblazer.
Further details on his funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by his family.
